The 1st edition of animatex animation film festival was held from 11 to 14 November in multiple venues in Cairo.

The talks and discussions took place at Startup Haus Cairo in Downtown.

​

Feature film screenings took place in cinema Zawya in downtown, while screenings of short films took place in the auditorium at Institut Francais in Mounira.

​

Professional workshops took place in NVIC, Jesuit Animation School, Movart Studio, Goethe Institut and Startup Haus Cairo.
